500+ Free High DA PA Profile Creation Websites List 2026

Free Profile Creation Websites

Profile creation sites are websites where you can make a public profile for yourself or your business, add a short bio, and link back to your website. Below you will find 503 real, active profile creation websites sorted into 19 categories, from social networks and developer platforms to review sites, podcasts and local directories.

Here is the short answer to the big question first. Most profile backlinks are nofollow, so they will not push your rankings up much on their own. Their real value is different. Good profiles help Google and AI tools understand who you are, they connect your brand across the web, they rank for your brand name, and some of them send real visitors and leads. That is why smart SEOs still build them, just in a careful and relevant way.

This guide shows you which sites to pick, how to write a bio that works everywhere, how to connect profiles with schema, and how to avoid the spam patterns that make profile building a waste of time.

What Is Profile Creation in SEO?

Profile creation is an off-page SEO task. You sign up on a trusted website, fill in a public profile, and add your website link in the bio or website field. The page you create is called a profile page, and the link on it is called a profile backlink.

A complete profile usually has these parts:

  • Your name or brand name
  • A profile photo or logo
  • A short bio or About section
  • A website link (and sometimes extra links to your social accounts)
  • Location, category or skills
  • Content such as posts, projects, photos, videos or answers

A profile can be personal (for a founder, author, developer or freelancer) or a business profile (for a company, store, agency, app or local service). Both types count. In fact, many brands do best when they build both: a company profile plus profiles for the main people behind it.

Do Profile Backlinks Still Work in 2026?

Yes, but not in the way old SEO lists promise. Let us be honest about what they can and cannot do.

The Honest Truth About Nofollow Profile Links

Most big platforms add rel=”nofollow” or rel=”ugc” to links in user profiles. This tells Google not to pass ranking credit through the link the normal way. Google treats these as hints, not strict rules, but you should not expect a profile link on its own to move a competitive keyword.

Some profiles do pass followed links, but this changes often and without notice. That is why this list does not label sites as “dofollow”. If dofollow status matters to you, check the link yourself with your browser’s inspect tool or an SEO extension on the day you create the profile.

Where the Real Value Comes From

  • Brand SERP control. Strong profiles like LinkedIn, YouTube, Crunchbase, GitHub and Trustpilot often rank on page one when someone searches your brand name. That pushes down negative or random results.
  • Entity and knowledge graph signals. When the same name, logo, bio and website appear on many trusted sites, Google can be more confident that your brand is a real entity. This can help you get a knowledge panel over time.
  • AI search visibility. Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews learn about brands from public pages. Review sites, Reddit, LinkedIn, GitHub, G2 and industry directories are frequent sources. A clear, consistent profile gives them correct facts to repeat.
  • Referral traffic and leads. Profiles on Upwork, Clutch, Behance, Product Hunt, Google Business Profile or Yelp can send real buyers.
  • Trust. A buyer who checks you out and finds active, matching profiles feels safer. A buyer who finds nothing feels unsure.
  • Faster discovery. A new site linked from trusted profiles tends to get crawled sooner.

How sameAs Schema Connects Your Profiles

The sameAs property in schema markup tells search engines: “these profiles all belong to the same person or organization.” You add it to your homepage (for a company) or About page (for a person). Only list profiles you actually own and keep active.

For a person, change the type to Person, add jobTitle and worksFor, and list personal profiles such as LinkedIn, GitHub, ORCID or Muck Rack. The two way link matters: your site points to the profile through sameAs, and the profile points back to your site through its website field.

How This List Was Built

Many profile creation lists online are copied from older lists. They include dead sites, spam forums and DA numbers that nobody updated in years. This list follows a few simple rules:

  • Real and well known sites only. Every site here is an active platform with real users. Sites that shut down in recent years (like Google+, Pocket, Polywork, Read.cv, Bento and Typepad) are left out.
  • Public profile with your identity. Each site lets you create a public profile, page or listing that shows your name and, in most cases, a bio and website link. Some sites only show the link after you add content, verify your account or reach a level.
  • Sorted by category. So you can pick only what fits your business, not sign up for 500 random sites.
  • No made up DA or PA. Authority scores change every month and differ by tool. Check current Domain Rating in Ahrefs or Domain Authority in Moz before you start if you want to sort by strength.

Platforms change their rules, so always read the site’s terms before you add links. If a site says no promotional links, respect that.

How to Choose the Right Profile Sites for Your Business

Do not try to fill all 500. A plumber does not need a Kaggle account. A SaaS startup does not need a wedding directory. Pick 30 to 80 profiles that make sense for your audience, then keep them updated.

Business typeStart with these categoriesExample sites
Local service businessReview sites and directories, social networksGoogle Business Profile, Bing Places, Yelp, BBB, Nextdoor, Angi, Houzz
SaaS or software companySaaS listings, developer platforms, maker communitiesG2, Capterra, Product Hunt, GitHub, AlternativeTo, Crunchbase
Ecommerce storeSocial, photo, video and review sitesInstagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Trustpilot, YouTube, Etsy
Agency or IT servicesB2B directories, professional networks, writingClutch, GoodFirms, DesignRush, LinkedIn, Medium, Behance
Manufacturer or exporterB2B marketplaces and industrial directoriesAlibaba, Kompass, Europages, ThomasNet, Global Sources
FreelancerFreelance marketplaces, portfolios, professional networksUpwork, Contra, Behance, Dribbble, LinkedIn
DeveloperDeveloper platforms and Q&AGitHub, Stack Overflow, DEV Community, Hashnode, npm
Author, academic or speakerWriting, research and speaker sitesAmazon Author Central, Goodreads, ORCID, Google Scholar, Sessionize
Creator or musicianVideo, audio and link in bioYouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Audiomack, Linktree, Patreon

A simple rule helps: would a real customer expect to find you on this site? If yes, create the profile. If the only reason is “it has high DA”, skip it.

How to Build a Strong Profile That Actually Helps

A weak profile is a name, a link and nothing else. Google sees thousands of those every day and gives them little weight. A strong profile looks like a real, active member of that community.

Keep Your Brand Details Exactly the Same

  • Name: use the exact same brand name everywhere. Do not switch between “ABC Ltd”, “ABC Limited” and “ABC”.
  • Username or handle: try to grab the same handle on every platform. Check availability before you commit to one.
  • Logo and photo: same logo for the brand, same headshot for the founder. A clear square image works on almost every site.
  • Website URL: always the same version (https, with or without www, as your site uses).
  • NAP: for local businesses, your name, address and phone number must match your Google Business Profile word for word.
  • Category: choose the closest matching category on each site.

A Simple Bio Template You Can Reuse

Write three versions of your bio once, then copy them into each profile. Change a few words per site so they are not all identical, but keep the core facts the same.

Short bio (about 160 characters, for social sites):

[Brand] helps [audience] [main result] with [main service or product]. Based in [city, country]. [Website]

Medium bio (about 300 to 500 characters, for directories and networks):

[Brand] is a [type of business] that helps [audience] [solve problem or get result]. We offer [service 1], [service 2] and [service 3]. Founded in [year] by [founder name], we have worked with [type of clients]. Learn more at [website].

Long bio (for About sections, portfolios and company pages):

Two or three short paragraphs: who you are, what you do, who you serve, what makes you different, proof such as awards or real numbers you can stand behind, and a clear next step with your website link.

Add Links the Right Way

  • Put your main website in the official website field first.
  • Link to a relevant inner page when it fits better. A designer can link a Behance profile to their portfolio page. A SaaS brand can link G2 to the product page.
  • Use extra link fields to connect your other social profiles. This builds a web of profiles that all point to each other and to your site.
  • Add UTM tags to profile links when the platform allows it, so you can see visits in GA4. Use clean links on sameAs and knowledge style profiles like Wikidata, Crunchbase or LinkedIn.
  • Never stuff keywords into your name field. “Best SEO Agency Cheap Lahore” as a profile name looks like spam and can get the account removed.

Add Real Content

Upload a few portfolio pieces, answer a few questions, publish one article or post one video. A profile with activity gets indexed more often, ranks better for your brand name and is less likely to be removed as spam.

Step by Step Profile Creation Process

  1. Prepare a brand kit. Save your logo, headshot, cover image, three bio versions, website URL, address, phone and main categories in one document.
  2. Create a dedicated email. Use a brand email such as hello@yourdomain.com so you never lose access when a team member leaves.
  3. Pick your sites. Use the “How to choose” table above and select 30 to 80 relevant sites. Start with the top 25.
  4. Check the handle. Search your preferred username on the big platforms first and pick one that is free on most of them.
  5. Sign up and verify. Confirm the email and complete any phone or business verification. Verified profiles get more trust.
  6. Fill every field. Name, photo, cover, bio, website, location, category, skills and social links. Completeness matters.
  7. Add content. Post, upload, answer or publish something useful so the profile is not empty.
  8. Check the link. Open the public view of the profile, make sure the link works and note if it is followed or nofollow.
  9. Log it. Add the profile URL, login email, date, link type and status to your tracking sheet.
  10. Connect it. Add your best profiles to your sameAs schema and link to them from your site footer or About page.
  11. Get it found. Share the profile from your other channels and link to it from your own site. Do not use spammy indexing services.
  12. Review every 3 to 6 months. Update bios, logos, offers and broken links. Remove or close profiles you no longer use.

How to Track Your Profile Creation Results

Profile work only pays off if you can see what it did. Keep it simple.

Build a Tracking Sheet

ColumnWhat to record
SitePlatform name and category
Profile URLThe public link to your profile
Login emailWhich account owns it (never store passwords in the sheet)
Date createdWhen you made it
Link typeFollowed, nofollow, ugc or no link
Indexed?Does the profile show in Google when you search its URL or your brand plus the site name
Last updatedWhen you last refreshed the bio or content
Referral visitsSessions from that site in GA4

What to Measure

  • Brand SERP: search your brand name in a private window every month. Count how many of the top 10 results are profiles you control.
  • Referral traffic: in GA4, check traffic by source to see which profiles send real visitors and conversions.
  • Backlink tools: use Ahrefs, Semrush or Moz to confirm the profiles were found and to watch your referring domains.
  • Google Search Console: watch impressions for branded queries over time.
  • Knowledge panel: check whether a panel appears for your brand or founder and whether its facts are correct.
  • AI answers: ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity “What is [your brand]?” and see whether they describe you correctly and which sources they cite.

Spam Red Flags and Common Mistakes

Profile creation got a bad name because of the way many people do it. Avoid these patterns.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • Gigs selling “1000 high DA profile backlinks” for a few dollars. These are usually bots creating empty profiles on unrelated sites. They give no value and can look manipulative.
  • Lists full of unknown forums and dead sites. If you have never heard of a site and it has no real community, skip it.
  • Sites that exist only for links. A site where every profile is a backlink and no one actually talks is a link farm.
  • Paid “indexing” services for profiles. If a profile is good, Google finds it. Forcing junk into the index does not make it valuable.
  • Sudden big link spikes from profiles. Hundreds of new profile links in a week with keyword anchors is a classic spam pattern.

Mistakes That Waste Your Time

  • Creating profiles and never touching them again.
  • Using different names, logos or phone numbers on different sites.
  • Leaving the bio empty or copying the same long text everywhere word for word.
  • Stuffing keywords into the display name or bio.
  • Choosing sites only by DA instead of relevance to your audience.
  • Signing up with a personal email that you later lose.
  • Ignoring platform rules and getting the account banned.
  • Expecting nofollow profile links alone to rank money keywords.

Profile Creation vs Other Off-Page SEO Tactics

Profile creation is a foundation, not a full link building plan. Here is where it fits.

TacticMain valueEffortRanking impact
Profile creationBrand entity, trust, brand SERP, some trafficLowLow on its own, helpful as a base
Local citationsLocal trust and map rankingsLow to mediumMedium for local SEO
Guest posting on relevant sitesContextual links and authorityMedium to highMedium to high
Digital PREditorial links and brand mentionsHighHigh
Linkable assets (tools, data, guides)Natural links over timeHighHigh
Community answers (Reddit, Quora, forums)Traffic, mentions, AI citationsMediumIndirect

The best plan uses profiles to build a clean, trusted base, then earns stronger links through useful content, PR and partnerships. Relevance and real value always beat volume and exact match anchors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are profile creation sites?

Profile creation sites are websites where you can make a public profile for yourself or your business with a name, photo, bio and website link. Examples include LinkedIn, GitHub, Behance, Crunchbase, Medium, Yelp and YouTube.

Are profile backlinks dofollow or nofollow?

Most are nofollow or ugc. A few platforms pass followed links, but this changes often. Check each link yourself when you create the profile, and do not choose sites only because they are dofollow.

Do profile backlinks help SEO in 2026?

They help in indirect ways. They support your brand entity, help your profiles rank for your brand name, feed correct facts to AI search tools and can send referral traffic. They will not rank competitive keywords on their own.

How many profile creation sites should I use?

Start with the 25 core profiles, then add relevant sites until you reach 30 to 80. Quality and relevance matter more than the total count. Keep each profile complete and active.

What are high DA profile creation sites?

These are profiles on large, trusted domains such as LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Medium, Pinterest, Reddit and Crunchbase. DA is a third party score from Moz, so check current numbers in Moz or Ahrefs before you rely on them.

Can profile creation hurt my website?

Normal, relevant profiles will not hurt you. Bulk spam profiles on low quality sites with keyword stuffed names and anchors can look manipulative and waste your time. Stay relevant and natural.

What is the difference between profile creation and local citations?

Local citations are business listings with your name, address and phone number, used mainly for local SEO. Profile creation is wider and includes social, portfolio, developer, writing and community profiles. Citations are one type of profile.

How do profiles help with AI search and the knowledge graph?

AI tools and Google’s knowledge graph match facts about your brand across many trusted sources. When your name, bio, logo and website are the same on major profiles, and your site links to them with sameAs schema, it is easier for these systems to recognize and describe your brand correctly.

Conclusion

Profile creation sites are still worth your time in 2026, as long as you use them the right way. Think of them as your brand’s presence across the web, not as a quick ranking trick. Pick the platforms your customers actually use from the 503 sites above, fill each profile completely, keep your name, logo and bio consistent, connect them with sameAs schema, and track what they bring you.

Do that, and your profiles will help Google and AI tools understand your brand, take up more space on your brand search results, and build the trusted base that your bigger link building and content efforts can grow on.
