Who we publish
This page is for practitioners. We turn down general writers pitching SEO topics they have never worked on.
In-house SEO leads
You own a search programme and can show what moved and what did not.
Agency SEOs and consultants
You run client sites at scale and can write about it without breaking NDA.
Technical SEOs and developers
You work on crawl, render, structured data, migrations and site speed.
Founders who do their own SEO
You built the traffic yourself and the numbers are yours to share.
SEO topics we accept
Each heading below is a subject we are actively commissioning. Pick one and narrow it to a single problem you solved.
Technical SEO Write for Us
Crawl budget, rendering, log file analysis, Core Web Vitals, migrations, canonicals and index bloat.
On-Page SEO Write for Us
Title and heading structure, internal linking, entity coverage, content pruning and cannibalisation.
Link Building Write for Us
Digital PR, outreach that gets replies, unlinked mentions and how you measure link quality.
Keyword Research Write for Us
Intent mapping, clustering at scale, SERP analysis and deciding what not to target.
Local SEO Write for Us
Google Business Profile, multi-location structure, citations, review velocity and local pack tracking.
Ecommerce SEO Write for Us
Category and facet architecture, product schema, out-of-stock handling and seasonal planning.
SEO Content Strategy Write for Us
Topic clusters, hub and spoke builds, refresh programmes and measuring content ROI.
SEO Marketing Write for Us
Where SEO meets paid, email and lifecycle. Shared budgets, blended CAC and reporting to a board.
Programmatic SEO Write for Us
Data sources, template quality, thin page risk and what happened after you shipped 10,000 pages.
AI SEO and AEO Write for Us
Getting cited in AI Overviews and answer engines, LLM referral traffic and entity building.
SEO Tools and Automation Write for Us
Scripts, APIs, dashboards and workflow automation. Show the code or the sheet, not just the idea.
SEO Case Studies and Audits Write for Us
Start state, what you changed, what happened, what you would do differently. Numbers required.
Have a topic in mind? Send it over.
What makes an SEO guest post get accepted
Three things decide it. The rest is editing.
First-hand SEO work
A site you worked on, a test you ran, a migration you survived. Screenshots from your own Search Console or Ahrefs beat theory.
One problem, solved fully
“How we fixed 400 orphan pages” lands. “The complete guide to SEO” does not. Narrow wins.
Numbers, with context
Before and after, over a stated period, with the other variables named. A 300% lift from a base of four clicks is not a result.
What we turn down
- Rewritten beginner guides already on 50 other blogs
- Unedited AI drafts with no first-hand input
- Tool listicles where your own tool happens to win
- Casino, adult, payday loan, crypto trading and pharma
- Anything promising rankings or guaranteed results
- Thin posts built around a link rather than a point
SEO guest post guidelines
These are the SEO submission guidelines. The parent Write for Us page covers the rules shared across every category.
Length
1,200 to 2,000 words. Go longer only when the subject earns it. Padding gets cut in the edit.
Originality
Unpublished and exclusive to us. Every draft goes through a plagiarism and duplicate content check before review.
Evidence
Screenshots from Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or your own dashboards. Blur client names if you need to.
Sources
Cite the primary source, never a blog quoting a blog. Any statistic needs a link to where the number came from.
Images
Your own screenshots, diagrams or charts, 1200px wide or more. Credit anything you did not make. No stock photography.
AI use
Draft with AI if it helps. The tests, opinions and final edit must be yours. Unedited output is rejected on sight.
Author bio
Forty words, a real name, a headshot at 400px square and one profile link. No pen names, no ghost-written submissions.
Editorial control
We edit for clarity and house style and may change the headline. You see the final version before it goes live.
Links and author credit
What you get on a published article, and what our editors will not run.
What you get
- One do-follow link to your site in the author bio
- A permanent author profile page with your headshot
- In-content links that point to a genuine source
- A link to your own study, tool or original data
- Anchor text chosen by the editor so it reads naturally
What we do not run
- Exact-match anchor text demanded by the author
- Affiliate links and tracking parameters
- Casino, adult, payday loan, crypto trading and pharma
- Links dropped in with no editorial reason
- More than one link to the same destination

SEO write for us: questions we get asked
How do I submit an SEO guest post?
Contact us with two or three headline ideas and the data you can show. An editor replies with the next steps and the full submission details.
Do I get a do-follow link?
Yes. One do-follow link to your site in the author bio, plus a permanent author profile page. In-content links are added where they serve the reader.
Can I choose my anchor text?
No. The editor sets anchor text so it reads naturally in context. Exact-match anchor demands are the fastest way to a rejection.
How long should an SEO guest post be?
1,200 to 2,000 words. Depth matters more than length, and padding gets cut in the edit.
Do I need to show data?
Yes for case studies and tests. Screenshots from your own Search Console, GA4 or Ahrefs, with client names blurred if needed.
Do you accept AI-written SEO content?
Draft with AI if it helps you. The tests, opinions and final edit must be yours. Unedited AI output is rejected.
How long until my article goes live?
Usually two to three weeks from an accepted draft, depending on what is already in the schedule.
Can I republish it on my own blog?
After 30 days, with a canonical link back to the version published here.
Can I pitch more than one topic?
Yes. Send up to three ideas in one message and we will come back on the strongest one.
What if my topic is not SEO?
Use the category that fits. We have separate pages for digital marketing, marketing, technology, technology blogs and business.
