Write for Us
Digital Soules accepts guest posts, contributed articles and expert commentary on SEO, digital marketing, technology and business. Pick the topic you actually work in, read that page’s contributor guidelines, then send two or three headline ideas.
Free to submit. We never charge for a guest post and we never pay for one.
Why Contribute To Digital Soules
What a guest author actually gets out of publishing here.
Readers who do the work
Practitioners, agency teams and in-house marketers, not a general audience padded out with traffic that never converts.
A real byline
Your name, headshot and a 40 word bio on a permanent author page, not a generic “admin” credit.
One do-follow link
A single editorially given do-follow link to your site from the author bio. No fees, no exchanges, no conditions.
We promote it
Every published post goes out through our newsletter and social channels, and stays in the relevant topic hub.
Pick the page for your topic
Every category has its own contributor guidelines, accepted subjects and published examples. Read that page before you write a word.
SEO Write for Us
Technical SEO, keyword research, on-page work, link building and the strategy behind a search programme.
Digital Marketing Write for Us
Paid search, paid social, landing pages, attribution and honest teardowns of campaigns you ran yourself.
Marketing Write for Us
Positioning, messaging, content strategy, email and the planning work that sits behind the channels.
Technology Write for Us
Managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure and the software decisions technical teams have to defend.
Technology Blogs Write for Us
How tech blogs review submissions, what editors reject on sight, and how to pitch a publication you do not know.
Business Write for Us
Operations, SaaS growth, hiring, pricing and the unglamorous lessons from running a service business.
What Digital Soules publish
Formats that get a yes, and the submissions we decline on sight.
Formats we accept
- Case study from a campaign you ran
- Original research, survey or data study
- Campaign or website teardown
- Step by step tutorial with screenshots
- Tool or platform comparison
- Expert roundup with named contributors
- Opinion piece backed by evidence
- Template, framework or checklist
What we turn down
- Unedited AI drafts with no first-hand input
- Press releases, funding news and product launches
- Casino, adult, payday loan, crypto trading and pharma
- Posts written only to place a client link
- Topics the blog has already covered well
- Link swaps, link exchanges and paid placements
Submission and editorial guidelines
These apply to every category. Your topic page adds a short list of its own on top.
Length
1,200 to 2,000 words. Go longer only if every section earns its place.
Originality
Unpublished and exclusive. We run a plagiarism check and a duplicate content check on every draft before review.
Format
H2 and H3 subheads, short paragraphs, lists where they help. Send a Google Doc with comment access.
Sources
Cite the primary source, not a blog quoting a blog. Any statistic needs a link to where the number came from.
Images
Your own screenshots, diagrams or charts. Credit anything you did not make. No stock photography.
AI use
Draft with AI if it helps. The examples, opinions and final edit have to be yours. We reject copy that reads as unedited output.
Author bio
Forty words, a real name, a headshot and one profile link. No pen names and no ghost-written submissions.
Editorial control
We edit for clarity and house style and may change the headline. You see the final version before it goes live.
Link placement policy
Stated plainly so nobody has to ask. Links here are editorial, never sold.
What you get
- One do-follow link to your site in the author bio
- In-content links that point to a genuine source
- A link to your own research, tool or original data
- Natural anchor text chosen by the editor
- A permanent author profile page with your bio
What we never do
- Paid link placement or sponsored post fees
- Link exchanges, link swaps and reciprocal deals
- Exact-match anchor text requested by the author
- Affiliate links and tracking parameters
- Client links dropped in with no editorial reason
How the editorial process works
Send a pitch
Two or three headline ideas, a line on the angle and who it helps. No full draft yet.
Editorial review
We reply within three to five working days with a yes, a no, or a sharper angle to try.
Outline approved
For longer pieces we agree the outline and the target search intent before you write.
Draft and edits
Two weeks is the usual window, then one round of edits in the doc.
Publish and promote
We schedule it, send you the live link and share it through our channels.
Article ideas we would say yes to today
Real examples of the angle and specificity we look for. Use them as a guide, not a list to copy.

Questions we get asked
Do you charge for guest posts?
No. We do not charge and we do not pay. A post that is only worth running because money changed hands is not worth running.
Do you accept sponsored or paid posts?
No. We do not sell links, sponsored placements or listicle slots, and we decline agencies buying on a client’s behalf.
Do I get a do-follow link?
Yes. One do-follow link to your site in the author bio, given editorially. In-content links are added only where they serve the reader.
Can I choose my anchor text?
No. The editor sets anchor text so it reads naturally in context. Exact-match anchor requests are the fastest way to a rejection.
Can I link to a client?
Only when the link is a genuine source for the point you are making. Paid placements and link swaps are declined.
How long should the article be?
1,200 to 2,000 words. Longer is fine when the subject earns it, but padding gets cut in the edit.
Do you accept AI-written content?
Draft with AI if it helps you. The examples, opinions and final edit must be yours. Unedited AI output is rejected.
How long until it goes live?
Usually two to three weeks from an accepted draft, depending on what is already in the schedule.
Can I republish the article on my own site?
After 30 days, with a canonical link back to the version published here.
Which page should I read before pitching?
The one for your topic. Each category page lists its accepted subjects, its own rules and examples we have already published.
Have an idea worth publishing?
Send two or three headline ideas to [editor@digitalsoules.com] with “Guest post pitch” and your category in the subject line.
